| A | These pages are designed as a quick reference if you are experiencing problems with obtaining your e-mail from Total Net NH using any version of Netscape Navigator for Mac or PC. This document may provide a solution to your problems if you are:
This document presumes you have already have followed our instructions on our CD-ROM (Step 5). To begin configuring Netscape Navigator to for use with Total Net NH, you will need to open the program. If Netscape Navigator prompts you to connect to the Internet, you can "Cancel" as being online is not a neccessary step. Once Netscape is open, click on the "Options" menu and then "Mail and News Preferences" as seen below. ![]() When that screen comes up, you will see some tabs at the top of your screen. We are interested in only a few - click on "Servers" to start configuring your Netscape. Once "Servers" is available, you will want to enter the mail servers and your username. Most of the other options we will not be concerned with (for example, the directories for storing your mail will be different depending on your machine). Next, click on "Identity". ![]() In the "Identity" tab, you should fill in your real name as well as your email address. Filling in an Organization is optional. ![]() You now have the option of telling Netscape to remember your mail password. If you wish to do this (this saves you from having to type your password in each time you check your mail), then click on the "Organization" tab and then check "Remember Mail Password". Click on the "ok" button, and then close out of Netscape. When you reopen Netscape, you will be able to check your mail by clicking on the little envelope in the lower right hand corner.
