Q
How do I set up FrontPage to upload my web site?
A

This information is available because of Microsoft's Tech Support website. After you have installed the Web Publishing Wizard, follow these steps:

  1. Open a Web in FrontPage Explorer.

  2. On the File menu, click Publish FrontPage Web.

  3. In the "Destination Web Server or File Location" box, type the URL address of the Web server to which you want to publish your content. For example, type the following:

    http://www.totalnetnh.net/~username

    -or-

    http://www.yourdomainname.com/

    Click OK.

  4. When the Web Publishing Wizard appears, do the following:

    a. Click Next twice.

    b. Click New.

    c. Click Next two more times.

    d. Select the appropriate Internet connection and then click Next.

    e. In the User Name box, type your FTP user name. In the Password box, type your FTP password. Click Next twice.

    f. When you are prompted to select a protocol, click FTP and then click Next.

    g. In the User Name box, type your FTP user name. In the Password box, type your FTP password. Click Next.

    h. Type your FTP Server Name and click Next. Your FTP Server Name is ftp://ftp.yourdomainname.com/ if you have your own domain, or ftp://ftp.totalnetnh.net/ if you have an address like /~username/.

    i. Type "public_html" for the name of the folder on the FTP server that you want to use for your Web content IF you have an address like /~username. If you have a full domain name like yourdomainname.com, then leave this field blank.

    j. Click Next twice, and then click Finish.

That should now upload you web page.
