How do I setup Windows 95, 98 or ME to connect to your service?

This will run you though the verification, and the setup of Dial-Up Networking.

  1. To start, Double-click on "My Computer" on your desktop.

  2. Double-click on "Dial-Up Networking" in the new window.

  3. You should see a new window open up with an icon labeled: Make New Connection. Double click on: "Make New Connection"

  4. For the name of the computer you are dialing type: Total Net NH. The Modem should be fine... Only change if you know what you are doing! Then click Next.

  5. For the Area Code, type: "603". And then enter: "225-0038" for the Telephone Number. Now click Next.

  6. It will tell you that you completed the setup... Just click Finish!
  7. Now, that the connection is added, you will need to follow the steps below to configure it.

  1. RIGHT-click on Total Net NH. (That means use your RIGHT mouse button and click on the icon.)
  2. When the new menu comes up, click on "Properties". (You can use your left mouse button to do so.)
  3. You will now see a new window. Click on "Server Types". If necessary, modify your settings so that they match those indicated below.

  4. Now click on the "TCP/IP Settings..." Button!.
  5. Now, enter they settings so that they exactly match the ones below.

  6. You are nearly done. Click the OK buttons at the bottom of each succeeding screen until you get back to the Dial-Up Networking Window. Now you can use the Total Net NH dial-up connection to connect to our service.
