Note: These instructions use our Concord access number.
1. Click on Start, go to Settings » Control
PanelIf Concord is not a toll free call for you, please choose another from our Dial Up Access list. ![]() 2. Click Switch to Classic View ![]() 3. Double-click the Network Connections icon. ![]() 4. Click Create a new connection. ![]() 5. This will bring up the New Connection Wizard window. Click Next. ![]() 6. Select Connect to the Internet. Click Next. ![]() 7. Select Set up my connection manually. Click Next. ![]() 8. Select Connect using a dial-up modem. Click Next. ![]() 9. In the ISP Name field, type Total Net NH ![]() 10. In the Phone number field, type your local access number. Click Next. ![]() 11. In the User name field, type your Total Net NH user name. In the Password field, type your password. In the Confirm password field, type your password. Uncheck the box next to Turn on Internet Connection Firewall for this connection. The other boxes are optional. Click the Next button. ![]() 12. Check the box next to Add a shortcut to this connection to my desktop if you wish to have a shortcut to the connection on your desktop. Click Finish. ![]() 13. Close all windows. From the Start menu, click Settings, and choose Network Connections. ![]() 14. Right-click your dial-up connection, then choose Properties. ![]() 15. Click on the Networking tab. Select Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) in the This connection uses the following items list. Click the Properties button. ![]() 16. Select Use the following DNS server address. In the Preferred DNS server field, type 192.168.176.22. In the Alternate DNS server field, type 192.168.176.33. Click the OK button. ![]() 17. Click OK. Close all windows. You have successfully created a Dial-up Connection in Windows XP. |
